About Rose Eggert:
Rose Eggert was a finalist in fiction for the 2022 Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards, shortlisted for the 2022 Dillydoun Review Flash Fiction contest, a semi-finalist for the 2021 Eludia Award, Hidden River Arts, for an unpublished debut novel by a woman over 40. She was shortlisted for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship for an early version of the novel-in-progress. A short story entitled, “Dragon’s Head, Shrimp’s Tail” appeared in The Best of Burlington Writers Workshop Anthology, Burlington, VT. Her editorial on Irish Immigration appeared on the front page of The Lowell Sun, Lowell MA. She has also published numerous human interest articles in local newspapers in the greater Boston area.
Eggert has worked as a digital writer, video producer, and content strategist for agencies and startups in the Boston area as well as Burlington, Vermont. She is the former Executive Producer for EatingWell.com, an award winning publication focusing food, nutrition and sustainability.
Eggert now writes fulltime from a lake in rural Maine with an ear to regional dialect, local politics, and the wild crashing of loons. She is seeking representation for her debut novel, The Wild Crashing of Loons, literary fiction ~ 80,000 words.
